That was it — one car, one driver, and a straightforward belief that Toronto deserved a limo service that actually did what it promised. No shortcuts on the vehicle, no cutting corners on the service, no excuses when something did not go right. Just show up on time, in a clean car, dressed properly, and treat every client like their time and their occasion matter. That was the standard from day one and it has never changed.

What has changed is everything else. Twelve years later, Platinum Rides founder Shehroz Malik runs a 27-vehicle fleet that includes four Rolls-Royce models, a Mercedes-Maybach S 580, stretch limousines, Mercedes Sprinter vans, and party buses for up to 56 passengers. The clients who once booked that Chrysler 300 for airport runs now book Rolls-Royce Phantoms for their children’s weddings. The word-of-mouth reputation that grew from those early bookings eventually reached Toronto’s banks, financial institutions, law firms, and major corporations — companies whose executives travel frequently and whose standards for ground transportation are exactly as high as you would expect. Today, Platinum Rides serves some of the most recognisable corporate names in Canada, handling their executive airport transfers, client entertainment vehicles, and VIP arrivals with the same professionalism that earned their trust in the first place.

From One Car to 27 — The Platinum Rides Story

Starting with a Chrysler 300 was not a limitation — it was a foundation. Every detail of how Platinum Rides operates today was learned in those early years: how to handle a 4am airport departure without a single complaint, how to coordinate a wedding day across multiple venues without the couple ever noticing a logistics problem, how to meet an international executive at Pearson who has just stepped off a fourteen-hour flight and needs to feel genuinely looked after rather than merely transported. Those experiences, repeated across thousands of bookings, are what Platinum Rides is built on.

The fleet grew one vehicle at a time as the client base and the reputation grew. Each addition was chosen deliberately — not to fill a price point or match a competitor, but because a genuine client need existed and the right vehicle could serve it properly. The Rolls-Royce Ghost came when corporate clients began asking for something that could make the statement their business required at VIP arrivals. The Phantom followed when wedding clients wanted the definitive grand entrance. The Phantom Two-Tone — one of the only chauffeur-available Two-Tone Phantoms in the GTA — came because Shehroz understood that some clients want something genuinely unique, not just expensive. The stretch limousines, Sprinter vans, and party buses came because a company that only serves the top of the market is not actually serving Toronto — it is serving a very small part of it.
